Low speed (<10mph) thunk, clunck, knock

It's been super hot here in LA this past week, I've started to hear a knock coming from below my feet while driving. It's not loud and kinda hard to pinpoint the location. Only occurs when I'm driving under 10 mph, it's like more like a knock(tap your knuckle on a desk lightly and that's the sound) than anything.

Does not happen when I rev the car in neutral. (Car is manual)
Does not happen when I turn the steering wheel.

Does happen if I'm in gear or in neutral.
Does increase in frequency as I go faster.

Goes away when I speed up or I just can't hear it anymore.

Any ideas?

check your endlinks to make sure they aren't loose or broken

I'll give that a shot, is this something I can check w/o having to jack the car up?

For the rears yea, you can just kneel down behind the car and take a look. For the front, it is a lot easier turning the wheels to full lock in one direction.

(Btw, admins should move this back to the S2 section where it was, AFAIK he is asking in regards to his 09 Sport)

Mod Note: Moved al

My front and rear endlinks are still attached and functional but the boots on three of them are ripped. Occasionally they'll start to make noise so i'll force some grease inside the split boot and they are silent again. That's happened probably twice in a year. Given that, they're low on my list of things to replace.

Inspect your tires. It will only take few minutes. Stick your fingers in the tread. Could be some stuck asphalt or rock or something melted in there.

Update: Noise seemed to be coming from the brakes (they were pretty worn down), I got them changed yesterday and knocking sound disappeared.

Endlinks were fine and so were the tires, didn't get a chance to check the motor mounts tho.
