:dunno: But if he deletes his original post then the whole thread goes bye bye. |
sounds like way too much power for a forum member. what if the OP of a popular massive 100-page thread got the sh*ts and deleted it.

Yep. Charles Hill and other have had some pretty epic threads over the years and deleted them all. |
There has been a move, by some, to delete their own "useless" threads. What is useless to some, maybe helpful to others.
|
I hope I wasn't the cause of a deletion of a useful thread! I only meant threads that don't contain any info other than, search. :(
|
Sorry that was me. I stumbled across a thread to encourage people to delete thier own threads, not even knowing you could. The thread here was "suspension options on the S2". It is useless. Just use any of the S1 suspension pieces on an S2. They needlessly confused us over this. You will get the intended drop front and rear. No one needs or wants to have their ass end sitting 15mm higher in the back, it was a stupid move by Mazda.

I also deleted my PSS9 threads. Those shocks WERE blown out and by the soft, progressive H&R springs that Bilstein uses with those coilovers. I'm not sure if it's me or the way you are expressing it. But I don't understand how you could end up with the same wheel gap in the rears of a S2 using 3rd party S1 springs/shocks. For example, why would Tein H.tech or S.tech springs on Bilstein B8's yield the same wheel gap in the rears of a S1 and S2? The range of compression of the springs+shocks are the same, yet the S2 has the higher perch height ...wouldn't you expect a rise of 15mm on a S2? that's what i don't understand. I really am keen for you to explain it from your expertise/experience because it's doing my head in :tear: I'm reluctant to order shocks until I understand what i should expect drop-wise for my S2. |
So even if I get the Tokico Dspecs struts+springs, the rear still won't drop properly??

BTW, to lucifuge if u havent yet ordered springs yet here's a ringing endorsement for the Swift--Tokico DSpec combo from a guy on this board.. "GET THE SWIFTS. i've tried most of them and the SWIFT + DSPEC made me want to sell my $3000.00 Zeal Coilovers. Great comfort and amazing handling in the canyons. It will outhandle coilovers on rough or uneven surfaces. Seriously that setup is so awesome. SPEND WHATEVER EXTRA IT COSTS, YOU WON'T REGRET IT. ok sorry for the caps, but you must buy the swift springs." "Rishie |

All 04-08 shocks will give you the advertised drop and gap on an S2. I think I should make a thread with this title, because people are getting confused. And all RX8 springs are the SAME for all years.

"Rishie This is false information....they may LOOK the same, however ratings are Definitely Different. As for the "deleted thread" it can be retrieved "if" members want to see it and the OP is OK about it. Let me know... |
