18 x 8 what size tire
 

I just got these new rims and the tires that came with them are low pro tires but don't look right on the car. What's the average size tire to go on 18 x 8? Will I have to drop it to make it look right?

225 x 45 is OEM on the S2 18x8's ... I think there are people that go to 235x45 though. You dont have to have a drop, but it helps, see pics in my sig

i run 245/40 on my stocks for autox

225/45x18 is the the OEM size and works great for everyday driving. 245/40's are a little wider tire and still have about the same circumference as the OEM size, so your speedometer reading isn't affected. I have seen wider too (255/40 and greater), but the tire begins to be too wide for the wheel and rolls over easier in hard cornering.
The actual size of a tire varies from maker to maker. Check the specs before ordering.
