say goodbye to your warranty...
you do know that Mazda frequents this site looking for posts such as yours, right?

I am willing to bet the the R3 has the same max speed as the regular 8.

I guess they would have to prove that he abused his car (just because he said he did it doesn't actually mean that he did)...and how in the world would they find out who he is? (unless he is just no very bright and posts his vin# on the site.)

Jedi54 06-16-2010 03:15 PM

kenpo: they don't have to prove ANYTHING.
just ask our moderator Abbid who had his warranty denied. If they truly wanted to, I'm sure they could find out who the owner is.

I'm really hoping that doesn't happen, I'm simply stating that it has happened in the past.

kantarserkan 06-16-2010 03:30 PM

i dont belive lose warranty. I dont care too because i am living in Turkey
Mazda claims max speed 235kmh, i make 8700rpm 5th gear 216kmh speed is increasing too slowly and shift the gear 6, speed is going down look like 235kmh is not realistic or my car have problem or 1300meter altitude or something another.
What is your opinion?

Jedi54 06-16-2010 03:50 PM

my opinion is that doing this on a public road is stupid.
if you are going to top the car out, it'll need to be in 5th

That, plus the altitude :)

kantarserkan 06-16-2010 04:15 PM

Public road but in the evening no more cars i am alone we havent any track in my city
Ok if its altitude can i earn power with RB revi with duck and racing beat exhaust
What is the maz speed people reach stock series I and series II

bse50 06-16-2010 04:22 PM

The small add-ons that already don't do much for our cars won't help with the altitude.
That's why many airplanes had turbo piston engines!

Coming from the Evo community...I know all about people getting their warranties voided.

Top speed is somewhere around 250Kph (150mph). We have had members in Germany that have gone that speed. The top speed is only regulated by wind drag.

jasonrxeight 06-17-2010 12:02 AM

with the new gearing of R3, 6th is taller 1-5 is lower so probably why 6th is dropping speed.

lzhmax 06-17-2010 12:36 AM

ive done 228km/h in 6th gear

kantarserkan 06-17-2010 04:37 AM

Ive done 272kph in 6th on my old CBR600RR

it is more than twice the power/weight ratio tho
235hp/3000lbs vs 105hp/540lbs (including rider)

Psylence 06-17-2010 04:39 PM

Which gear and RPM 234kph?

wazup_shorty 06-18-2010 02:56 PM

lol Why would they void my warranty if they make a car that is "track ready" and capable of those speed, I didnt decide to put the redline at 9000, they did.

any way, if you do your servicing at the dealer, or you keep all maintenance records, that you do not modify it, they cant void your waranty for pushing the car to its limits
