Stupid me. Left dome light on, drained battery
100% my fault.
Car would barely crank when I got to it. Got a jump and it ran fine, though the stability control light was on for the duration of the drive -- hoping that'll go away. Anything I should do or check as a precaution, or am I good to go? |
You will be fine...drive it and the battery will charge. To reset the steering sensor...turn all the way lock to lock and then restart the car and it will be good :)

Thanks. Hope so.
The stability control light went away on restart, so I'm assuming all is well for now. Fingers crossed! |
If that's the dumbest thing you did lately you're doing better than me ...

If you have a charger, the best course of action is to charge the battery fully after a full discharge. A partial charge after a full discharge can create a memory condition in the battery that will shorten its life. While the alternator will charge the battery, it takes a lot of driving to accomplish a full charge from a full discharge.
