strange sounds at 8k rpm or higher

For some reason I hear a strange noise coming from the passenger side floor board when revving the engine to redline. I don't recognize the noise at all and I hope that it isnot anything important.

Has anyone else seen had this issue or have any idea what this noise is?

Your floor board may be about to blow off...reminiscent of the scene in The Fast and the Furious.

Really I have no idea as I don't spend much time at that rpm (still pretty new).

Are you sure its the floor boards and not the glove box?
Check out Marbles in a can threads (MIAC) and see if this is like the noise you are hearing.
You can also find examples on YouTube

you have MIAC and there is plenty of threads on the topic. I got it on my R3 at around 1000 or so miles. A coolant restriction valve needs to be installed to resolve the issue. Good luck with talking to your dealership...some people have had some problems with the dealership techs being idiots, like..."why are you reving that high anyway?".....ugh.

There's another reason for it as well (if the above doesn't fix the noise), I've noticed the stock strut bar resonates and makes roughly the same sound.

I've taken off the strut bar, rev'ed, and the noise was completely gone, put the strut bar back in, rev'ed, noise was back. I'm guesstimating it has to do with the paper thin supporting brackets and the fact it's all metal on metal.
