So my car didn't want to start this morning...
Here's what was happening when I cranked it:
I'm posting this just as a preliminary. I have another vehicle I used to go to work, which is where I am now, and I'll be digging into it further when I get home this evening. In the meantime, I was hoping someone can give some ideas on where to start with this one. I must admit, my car has had hesitation issues when starting before this (should have dug into it already, but have been crazy busy), so I'm thinking a bad coil. Anyone else? |
Probably a dead battery.

No, that doesn't make sense. I had a mess on my battery terminals and a simlar thing happened. Had to clean the crap out of them and re-tighten. It started up perfectly fine ever since. Check your battery terminals to make sure they aren't dirty or loose first! |

Check your battery terminals to make sure they aren't dirty or loose first! The battery is actually less than a year old, but it turns out, the positive connector was loose. I had the same thoughts about the battery at first, but when I did the video, I had on a battery jumper attached to the car. But then again, that wouldn't matter if the damned terminal was loose. :shocking: I also did a search on here and saw someone with hesitation issues figure it for a coil issue. Oh well. At least it was cheap fix. And a lesson learned. |
