S2 stock hub centric ring size

Hey All,

I've done a bit of searching but am having trouble finding the info I need.

I have a 2009 GT with winter tires on the stock 18's. This weekend I was changing wheels over and in a rush broke one of the hub centric rings. I want to get a new one but after called a dealership (who had no clue what I was talking about) and searching frantically on the internet, I'm having trouble finding one.

Does anyone know the the part number, or size of the rings on the stock wheels? Where I could find them?

The stock hub bore is 67.1.

Thanks, I was able to find that part, but the stock wheel's bore size is what is eluding me

The stock wheel is 67.1 .. thus matching the hub bore of 67.1.

The stock wheels dont use hubcentric rings since the ring on the hub itself cradles the wheel.....

For example, I have MSW Type 14's for my winter wheel, they are a 73.1mm bore .. so I use a 73.1mm to 67.1mm ring.

I definitely have a plastic ring on the inside of my stock 18x8 wheels that contacts the hub, not sure what to say...

I'll have to take a look when I get home. I dont recall ever seeing a ring on mine, but i'll check and measure if there is indeed one.

thanks. I looked at the broken piece again, and what I had previously thought was a serial number actually looks like a size. It says D067.06 on the inside, and D073.00 on the outside of the ring.

It looks suspiciously like this:
So I ordered a set and am going to try to fit it thursday when it arrives.

Can you show us what the stock 18s look like?

I was more interested in an actual picture of your wheels on your car. Either way I think you solved your problem (I'm more of a fan of metal ones but mostly I'm a fan of torquing the wheels correctly and not using the rings at all).

You cannot use hubcentric rings on the stock hub with stock wheels. I don't know what the OP is smoking.

Here is a pic from my stock Sport/GT wheels. No rings necessary. Not sure what kind of wheels the OP has:

Most aftermarket wheels are 73 bore size.

that is why i am wondering what wheels he has.

I'll take a look tonight.

One thing that occurred to me is that the crushed ring I have came off the rfp1's I took off, that happened to stick to the hub. Maybe when I rushed putting the stock wheels back on I didn't notice and destroyed it?

I looked at my summer wheels last night and don't have a ring on any of them. Now that its warmed up I'll get the wheels off again and make sense of what I did...

J8635621 11-05-2014 09:13 AM

Yea that would make a lot more sense.

that was it :-(

I had figured because a broken hub centric ring popped out when I put on the last wheel that I had broken one on that wheel. I didn't check the other 3 because it had just started raining, and its been pretty cold since.

I just took all of the wheels off, and behind each one there was a mashed up, barely recognizable hub centric ring that I had missed taking off. With a little persuasion, I got them off the hubs and the wheels are back on. I guess it isn't surprising that it was a lot easier to put them on this time.

Sorry for all the confusion. The rings I ordered are gonna go onto my summer wheels, so that's at least not a waste.
