Pure Power Life Time oil filter

Has anyone tried to use a Pure Power lifetime oil filter on the SII? I'm curious if it fits as the OEM unit is a very tight fit.

at 22 micron, this shit is just a freaking joke

why would anyone even bother with these kind of garbage

tight fit ? I have no problems replacing it in under 15 minutes (including oil change) and that's when I'm taking my sweet time.

get proper tools, it helps

There's something about the proper oil pressure that needs that tiny filter.

Just get a good one like Mobil 1.

I also put some really strong neodymium magnets around base to catch some iron sludge.

I bought a $5 take off tool like a socket on top which makes it easy.

You need to use the OEM oil filter on the SII's, anything else out there and you run the risk of being in bypass mode as the pressure is higher on the SII's

yeah, stick with OEM for S2's and grab them while you can, I still have not seen any non genuine S2 O/Filter with correct by pass rating, has anyone else seen one made available?, frankly I cant see it worth any company doing so as there are so few S2's sold in USA and the world, only 17,000 S2's made from 2008-2012, and 11,000 of the 17K sold in North America.
One of the rarest Rotary Models ever made.

Has anyone actually measured the pressure drop across the filter to see what it is? I know the bypass pressure on S2 filters is higher than S1 filters and the whole oil system pressure is also higher in S2 engines. Just curious if it Mazda changed it due to necessity or convenience.
