My clutch situation

So my clutch pedal was squeaking and I took it to mazda under warranty and my mechanic just ordered a new clutch pedal to be installed...great! Perfect opportunity to put a clutch brace on (thanks Brice!). After install I drive home, shut car off, release clutch, and I hear the exact same high pitched, fart sounding squeel it had before. Was sure it was the spring just needing lubed originally, but obviously not. The squeak happens only when its warmed up and been driven a bit, happens with car on or off, and makes a high pitched, short duration squeak when the pedal is released. Ideas what to look at next? It sounds like it comes right from the floorboard where the pedal is.

Why bother with the POS bracket? This is a known issue that Mazda has acknowledged and will cover free of charge. Don't give them a reason later on to blame the bracket.
