Missing component. I think it's critical. (Where is the OMP Driver?)

I've got a flashing Oil Level light on my RX-8.
Codes are P1683 and P1688, both for an oil metering pump failure.
I've also got a 6 pin (two rows of three pins) connector just in front of the windshield washer reservoir.
I think the two are related.
Can anyone tell me where the Oil Metering Pump Driver unit is located?
I'm guessing mine is missing.

You can easily google this, it's below the battery on the bottom of the engine. It can't be completely missing or you would have a hole in the engine, but maybe not plugged in. Also flashing oil light s oil pressure, OMP problems typically show up as limp mode, car won't go over 3000rpm. Is there oil in the engine?
I have the following picture from the FSM and none of the areas look similar. (Removed battery tray and near the unknown connector.)
That's a 2011, it has 2 electronic OMPs on top of the engine. Different setup from the 2004-2008s. I didn't catch that this is in the S2 subforum.
So it looks like your secondary air pump has been removed and whoever did it, went with the OMP driver as well. Per the diagram it's attached to the air pump. What is the history of this car exactly? Does it have a cat? If not you don't need the air pump, but if it does you really do.

If that engine bay picture is your car, then yes it is Series 2 RX-8 as clearly the Black Wiring Loom says N3R1 which is only Series 2 parts model code.
THE EMOP Driver as you can see mounts on the black steel Air Pump Bracket, has the Air Pump been removed, at a guess the EMOP Driver is still bolted to it?
Driver Only just under $300 New..
