Mazda Maintainance

Question for those of you that keep up with your Mazda maintainance schedule. I plan on hitting up Mazda per their maintainance schedule just to be  with them in the event of any warranty related issues in the future. One thing I wondered though for those of you who do the same, and change your own oil, is that when you go for service, do you tell them that you want everything but the oil changed?

Lets say for example I dont want their 5w-20 or whatever they have on the shelves (a debate for another time), nor do i want them to overfill (horror stories from rx8 past). Let's say I even use synthetic and dont want them mixing (zomg! he said synthetic, burn!!).

Can you politely say "i actually change my own oil, but you can still go ahead and rotate tires / lube joints/ etc etc etc etc..."

Or am i just chasing for something that isn't necessary with paying a visit to mazda every 5-10k miles.

I'm sure that you could bring it up that you will be doing your own oil changes. Nicely inform them that you are registered with Mazda USA (or whatever it is) and tell them that you will be logging records and keeping receipts. Hope that it's not an issue!
