Half-sound

I searched and didn't find anything useful... so here goes.

When using my aux cable, my right side speakers don't work. It used to fade in and out depending on the position of the cable, so I figured the cable just went bad and replaced it. Same issue still. Radio and whatnot works just fine. But I can't do any amount of jiggling and fidgeting to get the speakers to pop back on anymore.

Ideas?

out of curiosity, how many black stripes does your cable have? Stereo cables have 2, mono have 1. If you have 1 line then that might be your problem.

Unless you're talking about internal wires (I haven't torn the faceplate off) I'm talking about the 3.5mm jack to the aux input.

Ah, on the jack themselves. Please excuse my ignorance :)

Both of the wires I've been using have 2 stripes. I'm just confused how it would work for a while, and not work any longer.

same problem but while listening to cd's, cant seem to figure it out. grrrrrr.

Sounds like the cable isn't seating properly in the socket. Maybe a crumb fell into the hole, or something.

Meh, eventually fixed itself. No idea what happened. Switched out cables, and nothing. Now sound is perfect, no matter how I jiggle the cord.

Best problem solving method ever - just wait, it'll sort itself out.
