The RX8 is one of the easiest cars to pull the transmission on. The only special thing is the PPF adjustment. You just need to run a bolt through a threaded hole on the PPF and so it will be at the correct height when going back in.

have have you done? you went thru a couple transmissions now the clutch exploded?

Either he's been slipping the clutch the whole time or he's re-enacting F&F every day on the way to work.

WHAT!...$900!!...BS!...
A Genuine On-Line Clutch Plate, Pressure Plate and Thrust Bearing should be no more that 450-500....Plus installation...unless your flywheel is kaput? Frankly, I am not surprised, given all the tranny issues you have had. Learning to use a stick with an RX-8 can be problematic. ;) |

The clutch abuse comments get old after a while, just sayin'. |

I've had 1 full trans replacement for which a bulletin was later released by Mazda, and I've had a syncro get stuck.
BTW: Just sayin' your next car should be an Auto. :) |
