Hi, so to make a long story short i bought an R3 two months ago from the dealer and the whole radio unit wasnt working. The dealer said they would ship me a new radio since I do not live close to the dealer. When I got the radio I decided to do the radio install myself and not bring it to a local mazda dealer cause my car already was in storage. I followed the steps online to a tee and everything works, the radio, aux port etc.. However, I can not input CD's for some reason? Is there something I missed in the steps or is there something that needs to be taken out of the radio, for the CD player work? Any help would be greatly appreciated

 

I just had the same problem. It took the dealership 2 cd changer to figure out that it was just an electrical short some where. They had to bring a Mazda engineer to figure it out. Best thing to do is to bring it to the dealer. I know you claim to be very far from your dealer, but it's the best solution. They should provide you with a loaner car. Good luck.
