S2 bumper on S1. Help with some parts? :)

Hello. I have an S2 R3 bumper on my S1. After mounting the R3 bumper, I found out that the fender splash shield thatís right behind the oil cooler doesnít reach the edge of the R3 bumper.

I found the part number for the splash shield that fits the S2 bumper - F1895614YD. But then I found out thereís another part called ďfront bumper retainerĒ (Part number - F19750051). Itís a small part that fills the gap between the splash shield and the bumper.

My question, I know I need to buy the bumper retainer. But do I really need the new splash shield? Since the S2 splash shield doesnít anyway meet the edge of the bumper, canít I reuse the one I have?

I have added 2 pics. One pic shows the entire splash shield, the other shows the bumper retainer. Just to give you guys an idea.

Can anyone confirm the retainer circled in the picís part number is correct? I might have got something wrong. I got the part numbers from onlinemazdaparts.com.

BTW, thatís the only pic I have of those 2 parts. If anyone has an R3, could you kindly take a better picture of the bumper retainer?

Thank you so much.

What color are your wheels and did you paint them yourself? I'm thinking about painting mine a bronze/gold color since they have a lot of chips/scratches/light curb rash.

You need the S2 fenders, lights, bumper, brackets, crash bar (IIRC), liners, etc. And those wheels are JDM Spirit R wheels, they are stock.

Yeah I can confirm you need the bumper retainers and rivets to attach them. I ran into this issue after switching my S2 bumper to an R3 one. Mudguards are harder to figure out. The part numbers between S1 and S2 are different but looking at pictures the differences look very minute and they might be interchangeable. I would attempt to use the S1 Mudguards first and if necessary get the S2
