Headlight cleaner

Since there doesnt seem to be a general discussion for series 2 ill post it here.

In the locked sticky about "what is a series 2" there is a pic of a white series 2 with what appears to be headlight cleaning squirters in the front bumper. I read about them in the owners manual I have with my 2010 R3. I forget the procedure for making them work something like every 5 windshiels squirts they will squirt?

Whats odd is my car does not have them. Ash maybe you can chime in because you seem to be the series 2 expert and I have a feeling that is a pic of your car.

Is it a regional importing thing that my car missed out on?

US models don't have the headlight washers, in any series/model RX8.
Procedure is:
Headlights on
Every 5th time the washer is used, or double tap the washer.

First, the General Discussion area is not Series specific.

Second, the S2 is not that special. 90% of the info is no different than an S1.

First, I have a series 2 so I post in the series 2 section.

Second, am I to believe, based or your response, that the s1 front bumper and the s2 front bumper are the same bumper?

Dont know about US cars but If you got those squirters, just tap the washer arm and they will eventually squirt

Yes, it is my car at 1 hours of age (on the road)...visited a friend.

The US version does not get Headlamp Washers, something we Aussies have over you guys...

Here it is law, if you have Xenon Headlamps, the vehicle must be fitted with Headlamp Washers...I think it is the same in Europe.

Yep, Headlights ON, every third use of windscreen washers you get the so called clean, or just move the washer lever 3 times...

Not important really, I think they are a useless toy personally, and I really don't get why there must be washers with Xenon..lame IMO...Larger Washer Bottle, more weight...and if you want ALL the washer parts close to $1000.00.

As for the clean ability, pretty lame really, I guess if the front of your car was covered in snow or wet mud, it would possibly help.
