Fixing crack bumper.
I cracked my bumper over the weekend and I was wondering what would be the best way to go ahead and fix it. Here are some photos.
By crack I don't mean the entire bumper, the paint crack and the plastic layer that seems to sit ontop of the bumper. If that makes any sense. Bumper 1 Bumper 2 Bumper 3 Bumper 4 Bumper 5 |
bondo!!
|
In my series 1 rx8, I backed up into a rock and the rear bumberr had a huge crack that went from the exhaust tip to my license plate, all i did was put some bondo on the crack and bought some oem paint online and then just trailed and error'd until it wasn't noticeable..
Good Luck! |
I'd recommend what KGR said. Also, how did you do the front emblem debadge? Did you or a shop do the body work to get rid of the dimple/holes?

Just commenting but you have a lot of "white" paint or thick bog (filler) or whatever over your bumper.
Remember your S2 was originally a OE Black R3, then painted white. My original CWP S2 has very thin white paint back to black. As I see it you need a filler first. |

Clean up the wound first...then add a clean "fresh" A1 (Good Quality) Bumper Bar Cover Filler that you can sand back to a smooth surface finish.
