Underdrive Pulley

Anyone try the Agency Power pulley? Is it even compatible with the s2?

RX8pwnage 04-06-2011 12:17 PM

Yes.

R3Fix 04-06-2011 02:56 PM

Good results from them? Any negative side effects?

alnielsen 04-06-2011 02:58 PM

The "upgrade" isn't worth the money.

RX8pwnage 04-06-2011 11:31 PM

Its a couple HP at best. I threw it on cos its a fast install and a pretty blue color. You will notice the tach getting to 9k a bit faster too. If money is important to you don't bother with it though.

Try the run to 9000rpms under load (in gear) and... see that there is no difference :(
Pulleys are a waste of money for most... they are great if you remove tha a\c though :squint:

The only pulley difference from S1 to S2 is the water pulley.

I had the same exact issue , Greddy pully's didn't work on mine either.

well i made a phone call to racingbeat they told me the s1 and s2 crank pulleys are different and that a aftermarket pulley made for s1 would not fit on a s2. i'd like to know how RX8pwnage installed it did you have to modify it?

comebackqid 12-03-2011 09:33 PM

I know this is old but I was looking to get some SRmotorsports pulleys because of the power claims then I read this thread, and looked at the upgrades again... yea I'm just going to buy a BHR ignition upgrade for Christmas instead.
THX. for the heads up fellas.

wcs 12-03-2011 11:06 PM

Don't do it ... don't
Pulleys are NOT worth it for power gains.

I have a set and they look great ... did nothing ...but look great. (I have dyno ... with other mods as well ... net effect ... crap)
Oh I bought the SR Pulleys

TeamRX8 12-05-2011 04:11 PM

and people give me crap for spending $1k on a cat converter that flows like a 3" open pipe ...

That's because you're not smart spending $1k for something that throws less flames than a 200$ race pipe! Plus it's underneath the car so no bragging rights that add hp...
$1k of stickers are the way to go, didn't you know?:hahano:

TeamRX8 12-08-2011 12:50 PM

Stickers? What are those ....

https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...&postcount=653

.

bse50 12-08-2011 01:00 PM

I see no shocker sticker or JDM style ones, no race stripes either or flames. They are the only stickers that add power and that a racer should use. Don't you know?

TeamRX8 12-08-2011 01:11 PM

That explains a few things I guess

SpencerM1 12-13-2011 10:33 PM

The average sticker's weight doesn't justify the HP increase. Lets not forget the difference between vinyl and plastic. Don't get me started...

:P

cfm251 12-13-2011 10:33 PM

for engine bay bling purposes heres a cheaper alternative lol
