Pettit SC adapted to an S2
 
I have been thinking of getting a different sports car, however, has anyone tried to adapt a pettit SC to and S2? Not sure if it would work, or what would be needed, but if people with more knowledge than me could chime in, I may be willing to take that on rather than sell my 33k mile 2009 GT that only lacks power up here in CO.

Its been awhile since i was on here honestly, so I figured i would post here first. I looked through the posts on here, but didn't actually do a search which I probably should have done. I actually posted on that link, but back then there wasn't a tuning option so that was why nobody had tried anything yet. I am honestly just wondering what the mechanical differences between the S1 and S2 are that would make fitting the SC to the S2 difficult / not possible. Can it bolt up and just need minor modifications and a tune to get it to work, or will there be major fab work needed to just get it bolted up (I can do the prior, not the latter).

Probably would be easier to just use a turbo, only looking for ~100hp, something to help with the altitude hp loss.

Sorry, I was just being facetious; there’s some long history behind why I stated it that way. It’s always best to assume non-personal humor or intent in my posts, even if only poorly executed or a complete failure to express it such that it comes across that way.

There are some mechanical changes, but I’m not sure if they impact the installation or not. There is a tuning solution now of course. Well, perhaps you can be the pioneer blazing the trail for everyone else, assuming you can find a reasonably priced and mechanically sound kit.

Possibly something to check out if options are limited. Depending on resources, having good technicians will be critical to your success. GL :)

for $10,000 total, I’d like to believe somebody would have more sense than that, but nothing surprises me any more.

Since the car revs up quickly due to gear ratios, just get centrifugal supercharger. Much cheaper. Not sure who makes good kit.
but I can tell you that you need Continental Elite belts to not slip. They make a big difference compared to normal V rib belts
Either way, you will need lots of work on exhaust port and header down to mid pipe. Exhaust is the number one reason Renesis doesn't make power. Some cut into housing and make P port, but then they close the side port, gaining not much in return.

yes, why not go Full Fail from the start and get it over with in one fell swoop.

otherwise please show us all the Cf SC’s that proved to be worth the bother

but you’d be better served to instead go educate yourself on why they generally don’t pan out very well on a rotary engine.

Well, you can always 3D print parts for prototype and CNC mill a bullet aluminum kit to slap on a roots like the one on BRZ. You can push around 300 wHP on one, if you don't like the peaky nature of the Centrifugal supercharger.
but you will pay a lot more on gas mileage.
