Yokohama ES300

Hi, Has anyone had any experience with the Yokohama ES300 tyres. They are a lot cheaper at A$325 than the standard RX8 tyres.

I'm looking for some tyres that have reasonable performance and a reasonable pricetage.

Cheers,
Mark

We don't have the ES300 over here in the states, just the ES100, which some people like, but others such as myself consider very noisy and only okay for grip.

OE RX-8 tires are engineered to have pretty good performance and low rolling resistance. They cost as much as some of the absolute top-shelf performance tires that aren't compromised for low rolling resistance. So you might lose a few percent fuel economy, but can get much better performance for the same or less money.

My personal favorite all-around tire is the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. I'm at around 30k miles on a set, and they're only about half worn. And I rail every freeway on ramp I get clear. With that kind of longevity, the cost per mile is reasonable and the performance makes it worth every penny. It takes alignment (zero toe) and attention to pressure maintenance.

You can choose on some deal sites, sometimes the price has a huge diffenrence with the retail price. Here is one I usually go, you can try
