Wisefab Lock Kit
So just looking around trying to find new parts to add to the wish list when i found this. I have an 04 and so i really want to upgrade most of the front end and figured this might be a convenient and interesting buy. Thing is unlike almost everything else i can't find any outside information or reviews on here about not only the product but the company too. if anyone can shed some light on this would really appreciate it. Also it says 05 to 15 did they just forget about 04 or was that a change for the miatas? Cant wait to keep dreaming about how broke ill be after a purchase like this.

Unless your RX8 is a 100% dedicated and trailered drift car, you shouldn't buy this. Widebody in the front is also required.

Definitely not track dedicated yet maybe someday in the near future. You don't recommend it because of ride quality or just over kill and unnecessary for a street car? The whole front end will pretty much be replaced regardless and if i don't have to upgrade twice when it is track dedicated just saving me money.
Do you know anything about the company or this product though? Would you recommend it for a 100% track car? |
There are a few red flags...
- you're looking for parts to add - it's not a race car - you're going for broke on something you don't need Step away from the computer sir :) |

I don't think anyone bought the rx8 thinking it was a good financial investment to begin with Just really looking for information on the product itse |
I doubt that you will find much info about this product on here...maybe try some drift sites.
There is really no reason except drifting to change the front spindles and control arms....and likely most race series that an RX-8 can compete in will restrict this type of modification It does look like it would give you a lot of adjustment options though |
I mean as far as being a track car i probably won't use it to compete just pleasure alone and setting pb's. I still want it to eventually be the quickest in the corners i can possibly make it though. I will participate in drift events this summer though so it will be put to that use.
That ability for more adjustment will let me set the car up to suit the different events pretty well then you would think then right. I mean i understand the major draw is ability to increase steering angle for drifting but it should also open a lot more to change for tight tracks and open ones correct? |
There wouldn't be a lot of advantages to road course driving to have the adjustability that this kit would provide. There is no need for more steering angle than stock in a road car.
It likely would be a cool thing to play with.....so if you have the money...and know what to do adjustment wise then it could be fun |
I see what your saying. Would you consider it more durable from the description alone than oem?

Any Heim joint type suspension will give you maintenance and lubrication issues long term
They are designed to remove all bushing deflection...so they are loud and harsh...but give you better feedback Personally I wouldn't go there unless you are building a track only or drift on track only car...they will be a PIA to keep them working if they get dirty or wet a lot Strength wise....hard to say...they are steel...so long term they will likely corrode The OEM spindles are very strong...so I doubt that they are stronger in a necessary way |
