Alright I’m the new guy in this thread. Hello Hello lol
so my first set up I had was axis rims 19 8.5 in front and 19 9.5 in the rear tyres were 245/35/19 in the back and 245/45/19 in the rear. That’s how I bought the car it looked ok but I didn’t like it. I’m back to the stock rims and tyres now but I’m thinking of rpf1s lol 18 9.5 with 15mm offset and 18 10.5in the back not sure what size tyres for the rear should be or how big I can go with a rim set up like mine. I was think 265/35 and 245/35 in front with 245 in the front I’ve never rubbed, oh also still on stock suspension I do plan putting coil overs on soon. Just a guide would help me I said I was the new guy but I know quite but more then most. Thanks |

I'm sorry this may be already asked but can I have 225 45R 18 (2x for the front) and 245 40R 18 (2x on the back)? What will this do for performance. I apologize I do not know a lot about tires.

it's really borderline between running a 265 and 255 tire if you don't want to rub. i can't remember exactly which. |

18x8.5+30 255/40/18 All around stock suspension, no fender work. Daily driver I was looking for the 9.5 wide that everyone is running but my tire store can only get them in +15 and I need to use my store credit card so I’m probably going to go with the 8.5’s. I like the beefy tire look but can’t decide between 255/40 or 245/40. Will the 255’s fit? Will the 245’s drive better? Opinions welcome |

Wheel Spec is 5x114 19"x9" ET+20 Fronts, and 19"x10" ET+20 Rears.
Tires Spec is 245/35R19 Fronts, and 275/35R19 Rears. I am the original owner of a 2004 RX8 with only 30K miles.... keeping it forever but was thinking of upgrading the tires/wheels cause it will look hot. Did your tires ever rub when max turn or on speed bumps? I feel like +27 would be pushing it

Ime, 245/40 tire with +27 or +30 will have zero or very minimal rub on street.

Hey everyone, I'm wanting to run a square set up in 255/40/17 on a 17x9 or possibly 9.5. Plan is to lower the car on some coilovers by about 1 inch. How aggressive can I get with offset on a stock body, with a roll and tab relo, without rubbing?

I'm running 18x9.5 avid.1 av-20. Offset of 38. Only a small amount of rubbing on the fender liner that you can't hear but you can see it. Tires size 255/35. I would get a little more offset maybe like a 40 and if anything you might have to roll the fenders a little

I'm running 19x9.5+36 with 245/35r19's, and I did a light roll on my fenders and I have no issues with rubbing.
And that's considering that my alignment specs are: -1.6deg front / -1.8deg rear. 7.3deg caster front 0.1 toe in front, 0.19 toe in rear (the best I could get, I was aiming for 0.1 toe rear but ran out of adjustment) |

Thinking about going for Konig rims (17 x 9, 5x114.3, ET40) and Bridgestone RE71R in 235 /45 R17 94W SL BSW. I would think it would fit but just checking. Thanks!

^ Fender rolls for sure, more likely a fender pull, probably be scraping the shit out of your wheel well liners up front (most likely will need to remove these), probably going to have to shave or completely remove front side markers. I'm biased I think mega camber is stupid AF.
To be honest, I don't even think you'd be able to fit those up front..... but I'm far from an expert I just base this off of my 18x9.5 +30 setup with 255/35's sitting within stock spec camber where I maybe have room to squeeze 265's on with some slight rubbing on wheel well liners. I'm also lowered, not sure what you plan on doing for ride height but with the right suspension anything is possible. Any answer is highly appreciated |

In case anyone is wondering...18 x 9.5 +30 offset with 255 35 18 tyres front and rear.. on stock suspension fit just fine...no rubs whatsoever

18x10.5 +25 with 255/35R18 and 5mm slip on spacer. Fenders rolled, no pull. No rubbing. Should be able to fit 265.

Get rid of the spacer and install 285/30s instead. +35 to +42 offset would be a better fitment on 285s though.
I ran 18x10.5 +43 and 265/35-18 all four corners with zero fender mods back in 2006 or so for a street tire race class with 265 max tire width. . |

I'm considering picking up a set of Konig Ampliform wheels at 18x9.5+35 and wrap them in some tires around 245/40/18 (I don't wanna go full JDM spec fully sick stretched tires yo). I'm on STOCK suspension, but I'm later planning on adding coilovers. Will I need to roll my guards? Will I have to delete the front fender indicator?

18X8 on 225/45 Tires (Different Offset)
Hello everyone, the stock wheels on my 40th Anniversary Edition are bent and I need to get a new set. I was thinking of going as close to OEM fitment as possible to avoid rubbing. I'm also keeping the setup square because I like my tires rotated. I was thinking of the following:

I don't mind spending a little extra to have damping and height ride adjustment, the price difference isn't substantial. I just want something I can drive on while I save up for a quality set like you mentioned.
