Will Enkei RS+M fit RX-8 GT?
 

Does anyone use these rims:

18x7.5 +48 offset is what I am looking at since it will fit stock size rubber (I think) and is lighter then the 18x8.5. Also the +48 offset is a lot closer to stock (+50?) then the +30 offset of the 18x8.5s.

They will fit.
But why downgrading to 7.5? It'll look worst than stock.
Go for 18x8.5, 35 offset. They should fit perfect.

I have the Enkei NT03+M 18x8.5 +38 and they fit perfect. Here is a pic

yea you should get 8.5 with 35 offset cause it will look way better!

Ok.. I don't quite understand why it would look better with 18x8.5..

The "Recommended Tire Size" for 18x7.5 is the same as 18x8.5 and that is 225/45-18.

The 18x7.5+48 would be only 4mm retracted inwards compared to stock. The 18x8.5 would protrude out more by 15mm. Do you think that would be at all noticeable or am I missing some other issue here?

Unless my logic is failing me (which it often does) then I think that using 18x7.5+48 offset and the same size rubber as stock will result in the same amount of rubber hitting the road and the actual patch of rubber hitting the road to be extended outwards by 2mm.

OK. You wont see it, but its worst than stock. Stock already don't look good with the wheel deep inside under the fender, especially on a lowered car.
And the fact that I will know it...
Actually that is the only reason I'm looking for a better wheels. And lightweight off course.

my car is lowered... and i am running 18 x 7.5 at a 45mm offset and i like it...

the wheels weigh 18.1 lbs... not flashy but they work...

i just say do the math... find what you like..

every .5 inch wider of the rim makes it stick out 6mm more and if you are running 7.5, then it would be 6mm deeper into the fenders. so thats why running with 8.5 with a 48 offset will look a lot better. so instead of your rim goin in deeper into the fenders, it will come out 8mm more that the stock rim. its really up to you if you want it that way....

You should run the 18x8.5 +35 setup front and rear for the RX8. I have run this setup on my 8 before and is recommended by many many many companies. Tried and true by ME. hehe.

It will fit perfectly with 245/40/18.

I swear to god that is what you should run. I don't agree with running a 7.5" wide wheel on this car, regardless of its front spacing. I think it's just not good.

Your Factory wheel is 8" wide, you should stay that wide or wider.
