I run 18x9 +35 with a 245/40R18 and my car is lowered approx 2 inches and I don't have any clearance issues.

DestLuck 03-13-2013 08:00 PM

interesting guess my setup would fit then

RadRedR3 03-13-2013 08:26 PM

First one.

firecran 03-13-2013 08:27 PM

second one is tight!

monchie 03-13-2013 08:53 PM

I've seen a lot of the TSW wheel design, and the second one looks different, so if i were you, i'll pick the second one... ;)

DestLuck 03-13-2013 09:19 PM

interesting ill keep that info in mind the only prob with the second one is it only comes in 18x8 40mm offset
and i was hoping on a wider tire

pdxhak 03-13-2013 10:41 PM

I would pass on both. Both are cheap looking.

DestLuck 03-13-2013 10:42 PM

thx for the input

tonik 03-13-2013 10:57 PM

first one

DestLuck 03-13-2013 11:08 PM

DestLuck 03-14-2013 06:26 AM

bump!!

Boeuf 03-14-2013 08:29 AM

Check out some of the latest updates to project rx8 from modified magazine. They put a set of TSW Interlagos on for track wheels and they look pretty good. They're light for the price as well.
The Nurbergring wheels you have pictured here are supposed to be light as well.

DestLuck 03-14-2013 08:32 AM

cool so i take it your voting for the TSW ones hehe
and thx for the info ill look those up.

PS do you think this would look weird:
18x8 in front
18x9 in back

M Pizle 03-14-2013 08:43 AM

I gotta go with the TSW's since that's what I run ;)

DestLuck 03-14-2013 08:46 AM

Rawr!

Lvis 03-14-2013 08:48 AM

the 2nd rims are fugly, i vote for the lighter ones

DestLuck 03-14-2013 08:58 AM

cool thx keep those comments comming

JCrane82 03-14-2013 10:04 AM

What's the weight on them?

Form follows function. Get the lighter one.....or better yet, get something even lighter.

Even if you don't track or autocross, additional wheel weight is noticeable on the street and kills the ride quality. I am not saying either of these are heavy, as I don't know the weight, I am just asking the question.

DestLuck 03-14-2013 10:07 AM

TSW

18x8 weight 18.6
18x8.5 weight 19.5
18x9.5 weight 21.05

JCrane82 03-14-2013 10:08 AM

both wheels weigh the same?

DestLuck 03-14-2013 10:18 AM

oh no didint get the other one sec
having a hard time finding the weight on the touren

FFs cant find it grr

DestLuck 03-14-2013 10:33 AM

but i do remember when i checked last time the Touren were a bit heavier.

These weights seem realistic for the TSW Nurburgring that is at the top. Lighter than stock by about 2 pounds in the 18x8.5 size. When I was checking them out a year ago I remember them being kinda expensive though. About $240 each? I am a cheap ass though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

My 18x9 wheels are 21.1 pounds each, but also only cost $150 each.

Out of the two above wheels, I vote for the Nurburgring.

DestLuck 03-14-2013 10:45 AM

interesting yah there like 269$ each for me since im in canada lol we dont get cheaper wheels :P
