What wheels accept tire pres sensors?

Can the tire pressure sensors be fitted to any aftermarket wheel, only some wheels, or only Mazda wheels?

Is there a special fitting place on the wheel they fit into or do they just replace the std valve stem?

If the aftermarket doesn't use them, are people just ignoring the dash light, and be damned if the tires lose air? Is that technically legal running no TPS? And does the TPS get checked at inspection time on 2004+ cars?

Thanks

Do a search.

tire rack says 90% of their inventory is compatible

well, i do believe that the only impediment that the sensors would have is the wheel size. some wheels just won't fit it because the sensor is righ tbehind the presure valve. Am I wrong for thinking that the lower the profile of the tire the less chance you have in putting the sensor on?

With over 500 posts, I think Spin knows how to do a search.

Folks, let's please lighten up a bit with the "do a search" knee-jerk responses - it's getting kind of old. Thanks.

seriously, call tire rack. they have a selection of sensors that are all cross compatible with our tpms system and fit a variety of wheels.

Sorry, I just know that question has been asked a "bizillion" times on here and there's been plenty of discussion on it.

I wasn't expressing any negativity toward his request for info, I was simply reminding him that the topic has been talked about in many posts.

Maybe someone could compile a list and post it and have it made sticky?
