What is the lightest 245 40-18 tire?

So far the lightest I have found has been Toyo T-1R at 26lbs. Anyone???

Just wanted to say that i've found lighter tires to have softer sidewalls. I'm obviously referring to street radials.

I'd agree that these tires are amongst the lighter brands:

Toyo
Pirelli
Continental

From the thousands of tires we've tossed around these always seemed lightest size for size. Higher End models of these brands btw...

Do you find the Toyo T1-R to have a soft sidewall?

The T1R in comparison to various Advans and Bridgestone tires is softer imho...

You can tell when simply doing the mounting of these tire onto wheels. Sidewall flex is easy to notice during that process.
