What color wheels?!
Alright...I know there's probably about 3,000,000 posts on this stuff. But I need someone elses input. I'm looking for wheels for my BB 8. I don't plan on putting any sort of body kit on my car, not even the appearance package. I like the car smooth and clean cut. I'm planning on wheels, lowering, tinting, and pretty much making the car a blackout. Should I run with black wheels w/ the silver lip? Or bronze wheels? They both look pretty wicked to me.
Please post YOUR pictures of what you have. I'm looking for something that will give my BB that mean look. http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...e/DSC08090.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...aForce/RX8.jpg |
Bronze
I am looking to get new wheels in the future and I too am looking heavily towards bronze.
I was jusy observing yesterday, during an all too rare Winter drive, that the '05 Shinka painted silver wheels are just about perfect for my car. I still look a lot for better ones tho' ;)
Take a look at Shinka's bronze wheels: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-exterior-appearance-body-kits-27/looking-ideas-2-tone-my-shinka-133796/ |
bronze for sure
Alright...for the longest time I wanted black wheels. Then I saw the bronze wheels and went "OH MY GOD!!!"
kit... black with lip, as is ...bronze for sure.
i think bronze is actually a bit ricey in my opinion, so i think black/black is quite classy
Ricey?? This is ricey:

How is bronze ricey?

I have a BB 8 as well, with black rims and a polished lip. Best way to go for the BB, IMO.
I like anthracite centers and a polished lip, like on old-school one-piece SSRs.
There should be a little contrast. The "Darth Vader" look is over, unless you have the balls to go flat black on your SL65 AMG. Black wheels look smaller than they are, because the wheel is visually continuous with the tire. This requires the wheels to be bigger than they should be, just to look right. A polished, or otherwise contrasting lip, emphasizes the OD of the wheel, making it look bigger. |
