need help on flashing tire pressure lite need a new one is it true you have to replace all four getting conflicting stories from dealers need some help

To the best of my knowledge you just have to replace the one that is not working. This is the first I've heard of someone being told that they have to replace all four.

The trouble with our TPMS is that the instrument panel just renders one idiot light and not a specific readout of each tire's pressure (the sensors themselves are sending individual signals), therefore we/you don't know which tire sensor is malfunctioning [presuming your tires are properly inflated]. There's probably a way to test the sensors, but again you don't know which, so it's generally not cost effective to do so.

You can get 315 MHz compatible sensors from TireRack for a lot less than Mazda and they work fine - I have them on my 2nd set of rims.

btw: you don't need to remove your tires to replace the sensors, just deflate and break the seal near the stem.

you only need to replace the sensor malfunctioning. The dealer should have a tool that can diagnosis which sensor is not working, we have one at our dealership, Audi requires a printout from it before warranty will pay for the malfunctioning sensor.

Alternatively as already cited TireRack has less expensive sensors.

As long as it's 315 MHz it will work.
