Tech said need to replace lower control arm
I was trying to get an alignment done and the front left was not able to achieve the correct amount of camber it maxed out at 1 while the other side. Should I have the control arm replaced or just have the bushing replaced?

Is the adjuster stuck and not moving or did it move and reach the max adjustment?
|
Soak it in penetrating oil and have a go at it with an impact gun in a few days...might loosen up :)
|
The bolt moves, but the camber changes very little.
|
Is the cam turning with the bolt? Or is it spinning? It is common for the cam to come off the splines on the bolt...and then you get no adjustment. Then you either need a new bolt or a welder :)

The bolt is brand new, along with a new camber plate, so that isn't the issue.

So really that just leaves the splining problem. The rearward cam is assembled to the bolt in the package, so that front cam can be put on 180 degrees out of phase. Make sure they are both oriented the same! Otherwise, you're just angling the bolt in there sideways and binding it up...and not adjusting camber. |
