Tanabe NF springs w/ 1 coil cut
I installed my Tanabe NF (Normal Feel) springs and they ride great. It's completely true what they say. It rides like if the car was not dropped. The springs lower the car about 1.4 in the front and 1.2 in the rear.
I was not happy with 1.4 drop in the front so I cut the top base of the spring. This is exactly one coil. The cars now sits about 1 inch lower in the front & still rides great. I feel it corners a lot better now. Here are some before pictures. |

djmano,
The offset is 35 and the width of the rear is 9.5. The tire size is 275/35/19. |

Cucumber,
Yes way. Go to the following URL http://www.adrwheels.com/wheels/?sfID1=12&sfID2=22 and read it for your self. |
btw how many miles you have on the springs ?
|
oh yeah
sorry car looks great |
Do you have a pic of the whole car? I am curious of what it looks like as a whole

if you wanted it dropped more how come you never went with coilovers? Is cutting the springs safe? looks awesome but doesn't seem like you have much clearance...

The stock wheel is 208mm with a 50mm offset, leaving 156mm or 6" of wheel beyond the hub mating surface. A 9.5" rim is 240mm. If you subtract the 35mm offset, you get 205mm. That is 8" - the entire original width of the stock wheel! There is NOT 2" of additional clearance beyond the stock wheel width, so someone, somewhere has the wrong specs (i.e. ADR). |
That's not how it works. The offset(positive or towards the outside, in this case) is measured from the centerline of the wheel. So the original would be 208/2=104 104-50=54 54mm of wheel width past the hub. The aftermarket rear would be 240/2=120 120-35=85 so the difference is 31mm, or about 1.25 inches. Which is totally feasable.

looks pretty good, though not sure cutting them is the best for the spring in the long run.
