Sport rotors or non-sport rotors??

Hey, everyone!

I have a question. I'm looking to upgrade my stock rotors and looking at these rotors on RacingBrake.com. There are two different rotors for front: sport and non-sport rotors. Do you guys know what's the difference is? Which one should I go with? Sport rotors seem to be a bit heavier than non-sports.

well, is your car a "sport" or a "non-sport" model?

They are different diameters for different car feature levels.

IE:

Normal
Sport
Touring
Grand Touring

Each level has all the features of the level below it.

that is that sport has the stuff the normal car does, and touring has all the stuff sport has and some extras, and grand touring has all the stuff touring has with some extras.

if you have HID lights then you have a sport model for sure.

Well..I guess it's sport. It's 2004 loaded with all extras.....appearance package...grand touring package...nav system....power seat..heated seat...leather...HID lights. spoiler..aero flares...etc,.....I haven't moded anything....everything is still stock though. But from what you said I would assume..it's sport model. Sport rotors are heavier than non-sports though....thats something I'm not too sure of having it on my car..heavier stuff.
So what would happen, if I went with non-sport rotors? They wouldn't fit or something? They seem like the sizes are about the same. It's just the weight different. I should check them out again though to make sure.

ok...the sizes are different...you're right. The sport rotors are wider than non-sports. I should measure my rotors before I order them just to make sure....

If you put the smaller rotors on the pads might not fit correctly and you will wear them unevenly.

thats something I'm not too sure of having it on my car..heavier stuff.
Just pay the extra and get the two piece rotors then, only 14.1 lbs

^^good man, you saved his ass.

as far as i know, there are 2 dimensions for the front...one is 12.7 for the big version and something like11.9 for the smaller one...

hope i got the size right. but either way, its almost a full inch apart...so get the right stuff is important.
