Slotted drilled rotors
Brakes are on my to do list as I haven't done them since I've bought the car. OEM brakes are sort of an eyesore in comparison to the rest of the exterior, but I haven't seen too many people go with slotted/drilled rotors on here. Is there a reason for that? Looking for some opinions :)

Oem brakes are quite good.
Drilled rotors are prone to cracking on the track. Slotted rotors are nice, I am shopping for a set right now as my old drilled and slotted are warped. |
Certainly nothing wrong with the oem, just thought I would weigh my options.

I'd go slotted

I have a set of drilled/slotted from rockauto. They are powerstop brand. Cheap and look really good, quality similar to OEM. If your not tracking the car they hold up well.

If your looking for performance..... Slotted Only is the way to go. Performance not only as more braking surface when compared to Drilled/Dimple Rotors. More surface means better stopping.
I do have a group buy thread in the vendor section for rotors. PM ME if you're interested. |
Would u prefer oem got drifting? I'm looking to get slotted with yellow stuff brake pads and stainless steel lines need suggestions

Personally, anything is better than OEM granted your using quality parts.
Go Slotted and get some good pads along with SS lines and that's a perfect combination for braking performance. Let me know and I set you up with a good deal on Rotors/Pads/Lines/Fluids |
ok sounds good thanks.. im definitley going to look into that. i just need to c where money will b after my paycheck due to plane tickets for me my wife and my son. i also read that drilled are prone to break so if im thinking correctly, would drifting with slotted and drilled make that statement true?

If you want looks, do whatever you want, but if you want stopping performance, OEM or solid quality aftermarket (Brembo, DBA, etc) rotors will do you plenty, with a good pad and fluid. You can definitely spend your money better.

Fair enough..gonna do some research tonighton the rotors then ...do some price checking as well but focus mainlyon what rotors with pads still do me the best..thanks for the help

Well being that your drifting I wouldn't recommend going drilled anything. Our recommendation is to go with a Slotted Rotor with some decent pads such as Stoptech/Hawk/EBC Pads.
If you're interested PM ME and I can sit you up with a Package price. |
