Ruff Rims???

I know almost nothing about aftermarket rims other then I want to purchase a set. I have looked at a ton of websited to try and find what I like. Im not looking for anything fancy or all chromed out. I want something that will stand out a little but still kinda have a factory look to them.

Since I dont know anything about what brands are good and which arent I strickly went only with how the rims look and after thousands of looks I found these 2 that I really like alot but Id like to hear what you guys think and if anyone has any first hand knowledge of Ruff Rims

This is the one Im leaning to the most

1st looks like volk ce28n minus a spoke, looks good to me. 2nd meh... everyone has 5 spokes

ruff racing is not a racing wheel by any stretch, more of a replica dealer for show if you ask me like varrstoen or rota

I actually have the exact same thoughts as you posted. I really like the 1st one alot and Im 99.999999% sure thats the one aim gonna buy. I dont want something thats gonna stick out big time and be the very first thing you notice when you look at my car. Indont think thats a bad thing but its just not my personality. I wanted it to almost look like a really nice stock wheel and I think the 1st pic does that.

I read some reviews about this company and all have been high praises but I was hoping to get some first hand knowledge from guys here who have the same car. Thanks guys!

You just love to post 100% on topic extremely helpful posts in both of my threads today. I wish I had the aray of endless useful knowledge as you. I also wish I had the time to just post mindless complete off topic BS instead of being useful or actually doing something else possibly constructive with my time

They may very well be but I have read a bunch of reviews on multiple sites and everymsingle review was extremely positive and I seriously didnt see a single bad word said about them. Thats not to say they are a great company but so far it looks promising. I was kinda hoping someone here had some experience with them or at least knows someone who does. I really like the style of them, thats exactly what Im looking for looks wise. I dont want rims that really stand out. I want them to look like really nice stock rims

Thats one of my problems with knowing which aftermarket rims are quality or not. I cant tell that they look cheap, I dont have the eye for that yet. This is pretty much the first time ive ever looked at aftermarket rims at all so I have alot to learn. Even if they look cheap its the style that I really like so if they are indeed cheap then I just need to find a good company that makes that rim as close as possible

Generally, though not always, crappy aftermarket wheels are heavy. For 18x8" anything over 23-ish lbs is crappy. Better to bide your time and get a good set used than a bad set new.

just to name a few QUALITY rims. IMHO rims are the easiest way to make your car look like sex, and just as easily make your car look like honda trash if you buy cheap stuff.

if you like the first pic (the xd9's) you can see how they look on my ride, just look for the "calling all work wheels" thread.

for sure, i remember being in the same spot and spending hours on vividracing searching through wheels

usually companies that really work for weight savings on a wheel will go to every length to post the weight of the wheel. If you're having a hard time finding the weight of a certain wheel then there is a reason for that ie they went low cost casting instead of forging or enkei's special casting

Thats great news!!! Thank you!!! Being able to see the rims on the same car as mine is a huge help and was also one of my biggest problems previously because some wheels look good on the rack but dont always look so good on the car. Thanks for the help.

I actually just finished talking to a dealer about those rims and hes putting together a package and pricing for me as I type this

Although beautiful and far superior, if you started in the RUFF price range, I doubt you will be happy about price of any of those wheels.

How do they "look" cheap? Just because they don't suit your style...

Coming from the guy who stands up for knock-off body kits...

Those are good rims, though. But, as goddesshunter pointed out, they are way out of "Ruff Racing" league.

The price had absolutely nothing to do with anything with the ruff rims, it was purely just talking about the style of rim and Im pretty sure one of those ruff rims sets was over $1,2000 but again price had nothing to do with talking about those rims it was purely the look and wanting to onow if anyone used them before. Actually when I made this thread ai had no clue to what those rims cost. And I did go and price the pics of the better made wheels and they are well within my budget for wheels, that is the first and last picture are the ones I talked to a dealer about

I would check out tire rack, they have a massive selection and you can view them on your car. Once you find a set you like do a search for that wheel to find the best price or PM a few vendors on this site.
