It's not hard for the mechanically experienced, but requires a good selection of tools, jack stands, and a spring compresser. DIYs are a help, though best to follow the procedure in the factory service manual. 1 hr/spring? Not for a novice. Spring swapping is also something that can send you to the hospital if you mess up.
