Replacement Rotors sourcing

I replied to a post with this question, but got no answers...

Is there a consensus on where to get replacement brake rotors (solid, no cross drill or slotting) for the least amount of money that will have at least equivalent performance to the stock rotors?

Mine are showing little surface cracks (non-structural) and they're blue in the outer half, where they get the hottest on the track. I figure I need a set of back-ups, if I don't just go ahead and swap them before this year's first event (Mid-Ohio Apr 8-9).

Thanks!

Tire rack has rotors for our car. Just spec up your car & then go to the "other" parts section

They don't carry plain rotors. They're all either cross drilled, slotted, or cryogenically frozen. all those add money. stock rotors work fine. I want stock for the least money.

How's Adreneline racing?

$75 each for front
$50 each for rear

Can anyone beat this?

Can't imagine that those are great? I think rotors are one of those items that fall into the " you get what you pay for" :D:

LOL - I would not buy those

"A definite must for the budget RX-8 enthusiast!!?

Mazdatrix has OEM rotors, but for the price you can get GOOD rotors. Honestly, the last thing you want to skimp on is brake rotors for this car. Get a decent set of Powerslots & call it a day. Stupid if $100 cost you an accident. If you keep up to your namesake (Speed Demon) then why risk accident, injury, or worse on a set of half rate rotors.

i developed a crack in a rear rotor. dealer said it was caused by excessive heat. doesnt sound like the stock rotors can take it. and i was on street tires!

dealer told me last week that my fronts were warped due to excessive heat and/or hard braking. I've since purchased 4 slotted rotors and rotora brake pads (all came in today!) for a little over $500 at the rpm store.

How's that? We know that slotted / crossdrilled rotors are BS for any relatively stock car. The pads are gonna overheat way before the rotors. xdrilled rotors crack with track use. slots could be benneficial, but definitely aren't necessary. Like I said, I'm looking for EQUIVALENT to stock rotor performance and, since I'm not rich, I do have a tight budget. I may be fast, but I'm not rich, like all other RX-8 owners apparently are.

So, what do you think could be the problem with these rotors? Be scientific. There are too many companies that get way too much money for what they're selling. So, I want to pay less for getting the same thing. It helps my budgeting.
