R3 wheels on a series 1

hey guys - quick question: can the 19" R3 wheels fit on a < 2009 model? (2005 shinka to be specific)

New R3 Wheels & Michelin Sport 4S on Series 1

Just picked up my car today from Star Mazda in Glendale, CA. It took some time ordering the wheels and parts, but they did a great job. They’re wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

I’ve always wanted these wheels, and it only took me 15 years to finally pull the trigger on them. lol 😂

But, here they are. Am so happy the way my 8 looks now. She just needs a good bath next. Hehe.

Thanks to everyone on the forum who shared their knowledge on this subject. It definitely helped me out.
