Problems with spring install
Problems with spring install
I got my Tein H Tech springs installed last week and when I got the car back it sat higher than with stock springs. I searched other threads and saw the preload information. I loosened the two upper control arm bolts on each side and it let the front suspension settle close to what the manufacturer states. The problem is that I can't figure out the rear springs. The rear is now 3/16" higher than stock and I don't know what could have been preloaded or what to look at to fix this problem. Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Grey ghost.....they should settle a little. I would urge you call Tein and discuss this issue with their tech support. The car should have settled by now!!
BTW...the H-tech's only lower the front 1.02" and the rear .31". How did you measure prior to the install?

After driving it yesterday the rear is starting to settle so things are looking up. The front has dropped between 5/8 and 11/16 and the rear has dropped 1/16 from stock. Hopefully as I get a few more miles on it the springs will continue to settle. I might loosen the front again to see if I get any additional drop.
