New Chrome wheels!

3 Attachment(s)
Just put on some 18 x 8 chrome Avenue wheels. I went for these because they have a little of the fat and skinny spoke look (classy) with the bolt on pattern between them (sports/race look). Any feedback would be appreciated.

jenkins-crew 05-10-2005 12:43 PM

looks very nice....

Geniko 05-10-2005 12:52 PM

Hey, just checked out your site (jenkins-crew) - what are the radio buttons for?

jenkins-crew 05-10-2005 01:06 PM

neons, strobes, and stuff like that. Turning it into a show car.

DaveRX8 05-14-2005 06:36 PM

pretty nice

rudy8 05-14-2005 09:58 PM

Maybe yes maybe no, what drop do you have?
(Mine is the H&R and is very low with a 275 tire)
Rolled a week ago and still small rub, the plastic part by the rear bumper.
Cut of a small piece and all is well now.
A fellow member is coming by today to roll his fenders.
Will try to take some pictures....

I do not think you will have to roll your fenders. I have 19x8.5 w/38 offset and 19x10 w/44 offset, wrapped with Nitto Nt555's Extreme ZR 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear and no rolled fenders here.
I have the Tein S-Tech springs as well, all with no issues!!!!
I will try to post some pic's in a little bit........

You are right on that one. Those springs drop the car more than mine.
But that LOOKS pretty damn nice. Kudo's to you Modena.

rudy8 05-16-2005 06:46 AM

i feel the need to drink now...

thenks, looks great. i did not know that the "rolling tool" was such an elaborate device.
anyone buy one or know what they go for? and/or...how much to roll them at the beer wine shop?

thanks for the info!
btw, your car looks low and mean with that set up!
it almost looks like the tires themseves have made the fenders bulge out of pure need.

nice rubber.

Volk Racing GT-C gun metal in 19 8.5 F and 19 9.5 R with Nitto NT555 the tire size's are 245-35-19 F and 275-30-19 R.
(No clue about the offset)
Drop with the H&R is about 1.5 inches (if not more) front and back....

Yes, OEM shocks did cut the rubber thingy in half when I got the springs of...
(Bump stop if that’s the word?)

yep, that's the right word. it floors me that nobody has come up with a "dropped shock" for our cars (except for coilovers, but who wants to spend over a grand when all they need is a shorter shock?) Whoever is the first ones to bring that to market correctly will probably make a fortune. Maybe there are advantages/disadvantages to having springs/shocks as opposed to a full blown coilover setup, but I'm no expert on that so I won't even try to go there. Those wheels/stance on your look awesome, can't wait to do some work on my car in that area, should have a drop by June, wheels are going to take longer though (big sigh)
