Painted Enkei Spare Wheel / Rim (formerly yellow)
5 Attachment(s)
Hey everyone - I'm sure quite a few of you have had the misery of driving around on that yellow spare tire once or twice. I'm incredibly prone to flat tires for some reason, so I decided to lose the bright yellow... I had never painted anything in my life before this little experiment. I'm not a professional, by any means. Let me know what you think, thanks.

nice job.
not bad.
what kind of prep did you do? |
looks great.... nice idea on the black and silver
Nice! How did you do two-tone paint?
Thanks everyone for the compliments... just to answer everyone at once:
**Prep was removing the warning sticker towards the center, and then attempting to sand the yellow. The aluminum, (or whatever the spare is made of) started sanding off with the paint so I immediately stopped, gave it a good wash and used the yellow as a primer. **The "two-tone" as aforementioned was just some quick tape work over the black paint (first layer) and then I removed the tape after the layer of silver/gray for the final layer of clearcoat. |
@.@
