Noisy Tires

I know this topic may be beating a dead horse, but I gotta know something. I have Kumho Ecsta SPT 245 tires and they are really feathered and worn. Now, they do have over 10,000 miles, but after only about 3,000 I started getting the dreaded "wow wow wow wow wow" sound at all speeds and it sounds like a helicopter inside my car. I have kept the alignment in check, rotated them every oil change (every 3,000 miles) and it never got better. I finally decided to completely dismount them and remount them and that helped, until another 3,000 miles or so when it started back up again. It is now to the point where I actually feel the vibrations, but the balance is good and alignment is good.

Are Kumho's just naturally soft and wear down so fast? I am going to get some new tires soon and maybe someone would have a suggestions of some different tires that may resist this sort of rapid wear. maybe it is just a part of owning the car? any tips or suggestion is GREATLY appreciated.

Later this week I will be completely rotating them, as in dismounting the tire from the rim and remounting them flipped around. I suspect it will help like it did before, but in less than 3000 miles they will probably be just as noisy again.

I had it checked less than a month ago. i would hope my alignment would not go out so fast. but who knows.
