No Brakes
I replaced my ABS module and now there is no brakes. When the pedal is pressed it goes all the way to the floor with no resistance. Im assuming this is because of air in the system
There are a lot of posts on bleeding that refer to the master cylinder but what is the master cylinder, where is it and how do I bleed it, or can I just bleed at the wheels like a normal bleed? There is a ton of air in the system because there was no fluid in the module. Also probably not relevant but the module is not yet programmed to the car Are the brakes electric because maybe there is no signal form the pedal to the brakes because it does not recognise the module. Any thoughts? |
definately air in the system, the brakes will still work if your abs module doesnt work, abs just wont kick in.

master cyl is where you fill the fluid.
bleed MC bleed pass rear bleed driver rear bleed pass front bleed driver front (bleed clutch if you need to) bleed mc i would suggest speed bleeders and a tube with catch bag. I did this when i changed fluid and brakes. It made life so much easier. |
