Need a Stiffer Ride - Advice Please

I have upgraded my wheels to Tenzo R GT 5s with the 19x9.5 in the rear with a Decently fat Tire. I have already rolled the Fenders and all is well right now. But in the Next month the Trunk is going to be completely gutted and a very heavy system added to it and I am trying to prep the rear for the added weight.

So I am in need of something a little stiffer in the rear so it wont bottom out at every bump and destroy the tires. This vehicle isnt our daily driver but it is still driven weekly so this is gonna be a problem.

Any advice on a decent Combination or Coil over setup that might be what I am looking for? Thanks!

Depends on how heavy it is, but if its really heavy I would probably say a coilover setup.

If you went springs and shocks, then depending on your springs and the load in the trunk, Id say your shocks would just be counting the days till failure.

Cool Deal. Been awhile since I have been on the site and looked into suspension items. Not sure what all new is out for the 8 at this point.

Was thinking full coil but no clue what all new stuff has come out in the last year.

The only reason I would shy away from a spring shock setup is because a lot them are not totally compatible, and that would be the weak point that would put a lot of stress on the shock being constantly loaded.

Whereas, the coilover setup is made to work flawlessly as one unit.

Of course you pay a premium for that goodness.

A lot of people on here are happy with the KW Variant III coilovers, and personally they will be my next suspension mod. You might want to look into them.

i'd say go coilover with height adjustability, that way you can have full control of your rear height with the added weight.

Thanks for the link. Gonna look into them now.

Price isnt the problem really for me. As I would rather pay once and get the best and get it over with. I paid like 1300 for a full race coil over set up for my SRT and loved it completely. Once again thanks for the link and gonna see what I can find out on them.
