Manual recommends higher tire pressures in winter?
Why does the 2004 manual recommend, "Inflate snow tires 30 kPa (0.3 kgf/cm2, 4.3 psi) more than recommended on the tire pressure label?"
Does that apply only to dedicated snow tires, or to any tires (like all-season) being used in winter? I just put on Pirelli PZero Nero All Seasons, but I'm not sure if they should be at 32 or 36 psi for winter driving? |
I keep my winter tires between 32-34 psi. The rule of thumb is every 10 degree drop in temp you lose 1 psi. I like 34 psi because of the temperature drops.
