Batteries were pretty dead, so quality is not up there.

This is on jic's, rear seems higher, but it's probably because of my driveway.

MazdaspeedRx8 11-26-2003 04:27 PM

nice pics man.

how many inches is the drop?

syntrix 11-26-2003 04:30 PM

No idea, but at least it's fully adjustable ;)

edit: 26 1/2 " from ground to the lip of the front fender.

Any stock suspension people around willing to measure theirs?

RX-GR8 11-26-2003 04:40 PM

looks good.

Efini 8 11-27-2003 02:05 AM

I heard JIC drops up to 3"?

mikeb 11-27-2003 02:38 AM

mikeb 11-27-2003 02:38 AM

sorry

mikeb 11-27-2003 02:40 AM

crap
I messed it up

RX-Nut 11-27-2003 03:34 AM

I'm a newb so what are JICs.. and what are the advantages of lowering? Dont it screw up your suspension?

Every lowered car I see bounces like crazy on the tiniest of bumps..

Jag 11-27-2003 03:35 AM

Maybe it's just the angle mikeb, but the rear looks lower than the front. Did you just change the springs or did you go with complete new units? And are they height adjustable?

mikeb 11-27-2003 12:48 PM

the back does seem lower
they are not adjustable springs

27 1/2 inches front, 27 inches rear, both measured parallel to the center of the wheel.

syntrix 11-27-2003 01:16 PM

Thanks Omicron!

So that's just an inch lower.... wow, guess I could go down a bit lower, but what good is a slammed car?

edit: 26.5 front 26 rear.

So that's only an inch lower right now. There's two autox's this weekend. I'll have to make some adjustments between the two and see what works the best.

mikeb 11-28-2003 01:53 AM

thats pretty cool

sixspeed 11-28-2003 04:46 AM

What's the ride like on the Eibach's? Presumably that's just with springs fitted, and standard shocks?

Is it me, or does it look like it sits lower at the back than the front on the VelRed car?

chinx 11-28-2003 08:36 AM

maybe it's the angle it was taken. they look real good! is there a pronounced change in handling?

VelocityRedRX8 11-28-2003 08:39 AM

That looks pretty good! How's the handling compare? Have you done struts yet?

Omicron 11-28-2003 11:03 AM

Yes, please give us an evaluation of the change in ride and handling, if any.
