This message is for anyone who is looking for the weight, size and offest of the stock OEM RX8 18" wheel

Size 18 x 8

Offset 50

Weight 47.5 to 48.5 lbs and that is with a bridgestone RE040 225/45/18 tire weighed on a pretty accurate digital bathroom scale


It's not bad considering the size and I bet the wheel itself isn't THAT heavy but I know the bridgestone tire is on the heavy side.

I hope this helps out anyone looking for this information !!!

Center Bore = 70mm

Spacing = 5 x 4.5" (114.3cm)

don't forget to add the weight of the tire pressure monitors...and the wheels weights to balance those! a good amount of the weight that you calculated stem from the balances and the TPMS.

I think that was just for the rim, not with tires...

That definitely was just the rim which makes sense because the Bridgestone website shows the 225/45/18 RE040 weighing 26 lbs, then add the few ounces of weight from the wheel weights and the tire pressure sensor and your right around the 47.5 to 48.5 lbs I got this morning when I weighed the wheels and tires

How much do the 16" wheels weigh that come standard on the automatic transmission model? And what do they look like? Anyone have a photo of them?

Also, be sure to search on "winter tires" or "winter wheels" - there are many, many threads discussing the options for 17" wheels and tires, and many of us have purchased winter wheels in the past few months.
