FWIW, for combo track/street use, you might want to take a look at the Falken Azenis.

I've seen several club driver ed event instructors for other marques using the Azenis with favorable comments. Not as sticky as stuff like Kuhmo Victor 700's etc, but appear to be more durable while not giving up that much traction. And these were being used on substantially heavier, i.e. @ 3800 - 4000+ lbs "other marques" Last, the Azenis 245/40x18's are whole lots more affordable ($135ish) than, say Michelin Pilot Sports or Yoko AVE Sports or SO-2 or 03 Pole Positions etc. ($200+)

What are OEM wheels going for?

No tpms

I am going to take a stock rim with no tire or tpms from the dealership and weigh it on a very accurate scale we have at the office... The scale is accurate to .1 of a pound, and buy the way the TPMS sensors weigh in at just ounces; just a little more than a standard tire valve...

I sold my stock wheels and tires with 2k miles on them mounted and balanced with standard valves for U$1,200.00 plus shipping on ebay with buy it now in 12 hours...

thats bad ass. If i can get 1200 shipped there is no reason not to get aftermarket wheels that are lighter!!!
