stocks look 10x better imo. powdercoat the stocks black before you buy these

TopGear8 04-21-2009 07:38 PM

Oh god no, those are terrible.

thebiggdaddy 04-21-2009 09:19 PM

Please don't

Razz1 04-21-2009 09:28 PM

It will look like crap.

You can not find ANY red that matches the VR Red made with silica.

T-ReX-8 04-21-2009 10:11 PM

They'd look so-so on a black car, but definitely not red. Red on wheels such as time attack colors etc and then slapping them on a red car is ftl.

dozer 04-21-2009 10:15 PM

no dont, go with something less flashy, and go black with red lip (time attack), i got the p45fs on mine and it looks sooooo sexy

FarSide792 04-22-2009 06:53 PM

hmm...yes....painting the OEM ones....lol

Ross_Dawg 04-22-2009 08:49 PM

this is a joke, I am sure of it...

michaelsk8er 04-23-2009 08:05 AM

No he is serious. He asked me about them and I said HA! God awful!! The red is too dark. I'd go for a darker stock look or a dark 5 spoke with no color. Maybe a red lip on black/gunmetal.

FarSide792 04-23-2009 03:49 PM

thank you for the input michael.

N rider89 04-23-2009 07:28 PM

frankly they look very cheap and unstylish. I would suggest powdercoating the stock ones a nice gloss black first.

NoOdLe BoY 04-23-2009 08:21 PM

yea they do look cheap. looks like they just slapped those red things on there to be different.

and as for powdercoating the stock rims, im probably gonna do the same.

kersh4w 04-23-2009 09:02 PM

awful, what is this?

the civic forums?

nvrfalter 04-23-2009 09:06 PM

haha i voted yes to be silly

Ace of Spade757 04-23-2009 09:43 PM

Not on a VR, man, too dark. If you can find a brighter red, then go for it. Afterall, it is your car.

Fortunate Few 04-23-2009 09:52 PM

if the red matched it wouldnt be half bad. even if it looked bad you could pull those red peices off and just have a black rim.

michaelsk8er 04-24-2009 07:05 AM

Yea the red is too dark. Maybe you could get these and then paint the 'V' inserts the same VR color? I like the rim otherwise.

I think maybe you could go with the rims nvrfalter has with the red lip if you wanted something like that. Personally I think a dark/black rim would be beautiful on your car. But, to each his own. In the end you gotta do what you want buddy.

ZumnRx8 04-24-2009 07:06 AM

take off the red V's and your good! Dozer post pics help this guy out.

9krpmrx8 04-24-2009 08:20 AM

Those are Gross.

mscamp02 04-24-2009 08:48 AM

Not a fan but its your car

Atilla 04-24-2009 10:25 AM

Good Lord...please don't get those wheels...

save up money - get Enkei Rp03's instead.

:)

NACer4lyf 04-24-2009 10:48 AM

honestly i would just powdercoat the rims black

the stocks imo are awesome

Gyro_Bot 04-24-2009 12:18 PM

+1 ^ I agree with powder coating the the wheels too.

Let's face it, they will look better, cost you less money, easier to clean (yes that is important).
Although I would go with a dull charcoal Matt black myself. This would look sick!

Or... "Roman Gold" powder coat, like I did on my VR.

Listen to your friends, I was going to get white wheels... boy what a STUPID idea that would have been.
So listen to your friends ;)

gh8st 04-24-2009 12:50 PM

if you buy those, i'll buy your stocks =)
