Help changing rotors and pads

Finally got my new rotors (slotted and drilled) and I'm looking into doing a DIY I hear its not overly difficult but the DIY link for this is dead.

Does anyone have experience with changing rotors?
--I would love a step by step.
--Also if I decide to just pay someone to do it, what shoul I look to spend.
--I'm familiar with changing pads and will be doing this at the same time.

Its easy. The only thing different about changing the rotor is you have to take the caliper off not just swing the piston up. Take out the 2 big bolts that hold the caliper onto the knuckle. You have to remove the 2 phillips head screws that hold the rotor on. This is best done with an impact screwdriver, the kind you hit with a hammer (available at autozone). If the heads are stripped or you can't get them out, drill the heads off. If the screws are missing, great, they aren't necessary. Once the screws are out the only thing holding the rotor on is rust so tap it gently with a rubber mallet or block of wood until it slips off the hub. Put the new one on, throw the phillips head screws away (the lug nuts will hold the rotor on) and put the caliper back on, torque the big bolts to about 70 ft/lbs I think. Then loosen the small bottom bolt on the caliper slider and rotate the piston assembley up and hang it with a coat hanger and replace the pads, grease the pad backing plates with synthetic brake grease and put the slider bolt back in. Torque the sliders to 24 ft/lbs. Voila.

You will also need to turn the rear caliper pistons. So if you have not started yet then check your local auto parts stores to see if they have one you can rent.

Or, figure out how to PUSH and TURN. Trivial with the tool, a royal bitch without.
