Hankook Winter iPike W409s Are Superb

I can't say enough about these tires. They have handled everything a rough winter, with ice, snow as deep as 8" (coming down hard on busy expressways, no less), sleet, rain, yada, has thrown at them, and just absolutely performed spectacularly.

The tread is a lot more aggressive than the IceBears, and that probably explains why these iPikes handle even unplowed back roads AMAZINGLY well.

I have never felt more confident in a RWD vehicle in my life than with the 8 and these set of iPikes. My 8 handles the tough snow much, much better than many if not most front wheel drive vehicles that I have been in.

I just wanted to post my experience in case anyone is looking for snow tires next year. I will buy these tires again and again.

I've been really disappointed by the IceBear W300s.

Next winter tires will definitely be iPikes or Gislaveds. Studded.

You will love the iPikes. I am very, very confident of that. It's been a rough winter, and they've blown me away whether in deep snow, on ice, the wet, or even on dry roads.

arent you plowing snow with your 8, when the snow is 8" deep?

The front end does push some snow, no doubt.
